Black Glutinous Rice Sweet Soup with Floral Glutinous Rice
Pulut Hitam is a dessert made out of Floral Black Glutinous Rice and coconut milk, sweetened with palm sugar and rock sugar. Taste rich and creamy in flavour!
- 4 tbsp Floral Black Glutinous Rice
- 2 pc Pandan leaves
- Drinking Water
- 70g Rock sugar
- 30g Palm sugar (gula melaka)
- 1/2 tbsp Corn flour
- Coconut Milk (when served)
- Mango (when served)
- Soak Black Glutinous Rice for 5 hours. Boil 800ml water with Black Glutinous Rice, pandan leaves at high heat. Once it boils, reduce heat and simmer for 30 mins. Rice should look puffy and soft by then.
- Add rock sugar and palm sugar and stir well. Mix corn flour with 15ml water to add into the pot to thicken the dessert.
- Serve warm or chilled with a drizzle of coconut milk and mango.
